Melvin Tan

Melvin Tan has a long and varied work experience. Melvin started their career in 2000 as an Accountant in Corporate Recovery & Insolvency at RSM Bird Cameron. In 2003, they moved to Schlumberger as a Management Accountant. In 2004, they joined Gemcom Software International as Financial Controller for Australasia, where they were responsible for 40% of Gemcom's global revenues. In 2012, they became an Independent Business Consultant at Snowden Technologies, where they developed business plans and strategies to commercialise internally developed software. Finally, they joined Locafy as Chief Financial Officer in 2012, helping to simplify local search and automate the world's business information.

Melvin Tan obtained their Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA) from CPA Australia in 2004. Melvin then obtained their Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance (FGIA / FCIS) from the Governance Institute of Australia in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from The University of Western Australia between 1995 and 1999. Lastly, they attended Christ Church Grammar School from 1983 to 1994. No additional certifications have been listed.
