Julian Lara

Julian Lara has a diverse work experience spanning over several positions and industries. Julian is currently the Head of Market Unit - Iberia at Modaxo, where they focus on transforming public transit and offering innovative transport solutions. Prior to this, Julian worked as the International Expansion & Business Development Vice President at Meep, where they directed the business development department and led the digital transformation of mobility in Europe and Latam. Julian also held various roles at GOAL SYSTEMS, including Chief Digital Transformation Officer, Business, Operations & PMO Corporate Director, LATAM Business & Operations Director/Corporate PMO Director, and Project Management Office Director. Before that, they were the Operations Director at Transportes Lara-CEA S.L. and served as President of the Spanish Tank Transportation Association. Julian started their career as a Software Project Director at Sopra Steria, followed by a role as Webmaster/Software Project Manager at Hosup.com - Venture Capital. Julian began their professional journey as an R&D Software Engineer at IBM Global Services, where they were involved in internet e-commerce projects.

Julian Lara has an Engineer's degree in Informatics Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. Julian also has a Project Director degree in IT Technologies from the same university, which they completed in the year 2000. In 1999, they received a Project Management certification from Formación Cámara de Comercio de Madrid. Additionally, Julian has a Master's degree in Intelligent Transport Systems from EADIC, which they obtained in 2015. Julian is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Information Technology Education from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, starting in 2023. Furthermore, Julian has various certifications, including TOEIC Certification in English C1, SAFe Agilist Certification, Expert in SME's Management, Transport, and International Project Management certification from ICEX, PER certification from the Ministerio de Fomento, I+D+i agent certification from the Ministerio de Economía y Hacienda, and English High Proficiency certification from Trinity College London.
