Stephen Coles

Stephen Coles serves as the Associate Curator & Editorial Director at Letterform Archive, where responsibilities include shaping the online presence and future of the collection, having previously been a member of its Board of Directors. Coles is also the Co-Founder and Editor of Fonts In Use, a public archive focused on typographic design, and Publisher and Co-Editor of Typographica, which reviews typefaces and related literature. As an Independent Typographic Consultant, Coles provides expertise to clients on typography and editorial content. Additional roles include Founder and Editor of The Mid-Century Modernist, Senior Designer at SCHAWELCOLES, and former Type Director at FSI FontShop International. Coles has also contributed to education through teaching at Type Camp and serving on various advisory boards in the typography field.
