Nikolai Joukov, PhD has a wealth of experience in the field of operating systems and application environments. Nikolai began their career in 2001 as a Research Assistant at Stony Brook University's Computer Science Department. Nikolai also served as a Visiting Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden during the same year. In 2006, they joined IBM Research as a Research Staff Member and Chair of Storage Professional Interests Community. In 2010, they became an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University. In 2009, they took on two roles at IEEE, Co-chair of Special Technical Community on Operating Systems and Chair of Technical Committee on Operating Systems and Application Environments. In 2015, they became an Adjunct Professor at New York University. Most recently, in 2012, they became the CEO of modelizeIT Inc.
Nikolai Joukov obtained their PhD in Computer Science from Stony Brook University in 2006, following their M.S. in Physics from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) in 2000.
