Jen Keane

Jen Keane is the Co-Founder, CEO, and Creative Director at Modern Synthesis. Jen has over ten years of experience in the fashion industry, having worked with brands like adidas and Nike. Jen is a creative and innovative thinker, always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of design.

After completing their degree in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design, Jen began their career as a Global Technical Design Intern at Nike. Jen then went on to work as a Designer Materials: Creative Direction at adidas. In this role, Jen was responsible for designing materials and material concepts within adidas global creative direction team. Jen also created seasonal apparel material design direction presentations for the brand.

In 2016, Jen co-founded Modern Synthesis, a creative studio that specializes in textile design and development. The company works with a range of clients, from small start-ups to large corporations. Modern Synthesis has quickly become known for their unique and cutting-edge designs.

Most recently, Jen has been working as a Techstyle Resident at The Mills Fabrica and a Creative Resident at Bolt Threads. These experiences have allowed their to further explore their passion for textile design and develop their skills in product development.

Jen Keane has a certificate in entrepreneurship from the Bank of America Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship at Cornell University. Jen also has a master's degree in material futures from Central Saint Martins at the University of the Arts London. Finally, Jen Keane has a bachelor's degree in fiber science and apparel design from Cornell University.
