Sean Gaskell

Sean Gaskell currently serves as SVP of Global Drug Substance Operations at Moderna, a role held since May 2023. Prior to this position, Sean was the SVP and Chief Technical Officer at Alvotech, where responsibilities included overseeing manufacturing and supply chain strategies. At Novartis from 2009 to 2020, Sean advanced from the role of Process Manager to VP of Manufacturing Operations, leading significant transformations in gene therapy manufacturing and managing crucial production sites. Earlier in the career, Sean worked as a Senior Research Chemist at Charnwood Molecular. Academically, Sean holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and a BSc in Chemistry with Forensic Analysis from Loughborough University.
