Scott Jungling has over 20 years of professional work experience. Scott began their career in 2000 as a Help Desk Assistant at Student Computing, where they provided technical support to users with computing problems over the phone and in person. Scott also trained students, faculty, and staff on the basic usage of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and UNIX. In the same year, they became an Online Editor/Technical Advisor at Chico Enterprise-Record, where they designed visual layout and information architecture that improved usability and readability for readers. Scott also developed interactive components to create a more dynamic relationship between the reader and the paper.

In 2004, Scott became a Web Designer at The ChicoProject, where they developed standards based templates with XHTML and CSS from design compositions. Scott also collaborated with engineers to alter .Net generated mark-up for more compliant code and browser compatibility. In 2006, they joined California State University - Chico as a Web Application Developer, where they trained and supervised student web application developer to work in a production environment.

In 2010, Scott began working as a Freelance Contractor - Web Developer at ZURB, where they worked with Engineers and Designers to build web applications from ideas/specifications. Scott designed Rails backend infrastructure and implemented custom frontend interaction solutions with jQuery and Backbone. In 2013, Scott joined Build with Ferguson as a Front-End Engineering Manager. Scott currently leads a core team of engineers in migrating Build.com from a legacy NodeJS application to a new in-house web platform (React/GraphQL). Scott works daily with Product Managers, Project Managers, and engineers from across teams to develop the store's foundational elements. In 2021, Scott joined Moderne, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer.

Scott Jungling obtained a Bachelor of Science in Instructional Technology from California State University, Chico in 2005. In 2021, they obtained a Graph Developer - Associate certification from Apollo GraphQL.
