Tony Karalekas

Tony Karalekas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Tony is currently the Managing Director at ModernFi since 2024. Prior to that, they worked at Carta as a Manager in Venture Capital from 2022 to 2024, and as an Account Executive in Venture Capital from 2021 to 2022. Tony also served as the Head of Sales at Vauban from Carta, where they led sales integration for Carta's acquisition of Vauban and worked to bring fund admin solutions to investors globally from 2022 to 2024. Before joining Carta, Tony worked at Citi in different roles including Assistant Vice President in FXLM Sales from 2020 to 2021, Markets Analyst in EM FXLM Sales from 2019 to 2020, and Markets Analyst in IG Credit Sales from 2018 to 2019. In addition, they were a Partner at Mayflower Hill Capital, a student-run investment fund at Colby College, from 2015 to 2018. Tony'searlier experiences include internships in business development at ChalkTalk, Inc. in 2016 and accounting at Windsor Distributing, Inc. in 2015.

Tony Karalekas attended Colby College from 2014 to 2018, where they studied Economics (Financial Markets) and Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Phillips Exeter Academy, receiving a Diploma. Tony also participated in the LSE Summer School in 2015 at The London School of Economics and Political Science, studying Principles of Accounting. In 2017, they took part in a Spring Semester Abroad program in Italy through IES Abroad, focusing on Business Studies. Tony Karalekas has additional certifications including Series 63 and Series 7 from FINRA, as well as a Wilderness First Aid Certification from Wilderness Medical Associates International.
