Matthew Maloney

Matthew Maloney has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as the Global Audit Lead at Modine Manufacturing Company. Prior to this, they worked as a Risk and Assurance Manager at BDO from December 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining BDO, Matthew gained extensive experience at Univar Solutions. Matthew held the roles of Lead Internal Auditor in the EMEA region, where they led audits, conducted fraud investigations, and supported various project implementations. Matthew also served as a Senior Internal Auditor in EMEA, handling data-driven audits worldwide.

Matthew began their career at PwC, where they worked as a Senior Associate and Associate. In these roles, they led small teams on client sites, planned and delivered internal audits, and took on additional responsibilities such as coaching junior members and liaising with colleagues at multiple locations.

Beyond finance and auditing, Matthew also has experience in education and international events. Matthew worked as a Supply Teacher at Teaching Personnel and as a Teacher of Spanish and French at Birley Community College. Additionally, they held positions in the London 2012 Paralympic Games and GreatAuPair, where they coordinated teams and provided language tutoring.

Matthew's early leadership experience includes serving as the President and Social Secretary of the Leeds University Union Classics Society. In these roles, they managed a team, organized events, and represented the society in various assemblies.

- From 2008 to 2012, they attended the University of Leeds where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish and Iberian Studies.

- Following that, in 2013 to 2014, they pursued a PGDipEd degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, with a focus on MFL - Spanish and French, at the University of Birmingham.
