Nigel Spier

Nigel Spier has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Nigel currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Memorial Regional Hospital since May 2023. Prior to this, they were the Vice Chief of Staff at the same hospital from May 2019 to May 2023. Nigel also has experience at ModMed, where they held the positions of Medical Director and Team Lead in the OBGYN department from February 2022 to present. Nigel has been involved with the Atlantic Coast Health Network as a member of the Finance & Contracting Committee since January 2016. Nigel has also served as the President of The HEALiXX Group since February 2018. In addition, they have been running their own private practice, Nigel A. Spier MD LLC, as a Physician since June 2003. Nigel has previously held the position of OBGYN Residency Program Director at Memorial Healthcare System from April 2019 to July 2021. Nigel was also the Chief Department of OB/GYN at Memorial Regional Hospital from March 2009 to March 2011. Furthermore, they have served as the President of the Broward County Medical Association from November 2007 to November 2008.

Nigel Spier earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy from McGill University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at McGill University and obtained a Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree, completing their program in 1991. Nigel Spier then pursued a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University from 1991 to 1995.
