Sam Stokes has a diverse work experience in various communication roles. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as an Assistant Editor at WIS-TV News, editing video footage for news broadcasts. In 2007, they served as an Administrative Assistant at the University of South Carolina, where they facilitated seminars and managed office maintenance. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Carolina Alumni Association, overseeing website updates and assisting with marketing and communication efforts. In 2009, they also worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Carolina. From 2009 to 2010, they served as a Marketing and Sales Intern at WACH FOX 57, where they developed sales leads and created advertising fulfillment packets. From 2010 to 2015, they held various roles at the American Cancer Society, including Director of Editorial Services and Manager of Strategic Communications Planning. They were responsible for developing communications strategies, creating original writing, and providing counsel on cause marketing promotions. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Manager of Internal Communications at Bank of America, leading internal communications and marketing efforts. Finally, since 2017, they have been working at Change Healthcare, initially as a Manager of Internal Communications and then as the Director of Internal Communications.
Sam Stokes completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of South Carolina from 2003 to 2007. They then pursued a Master of Arts and Sciences degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Media Arts at the same university from 2008 to 2009. In 2022, Sam obtained a certification in "Leveraging Virtual and Hybrid Teams for Improved Effectiveness" from LinkedIn.
