Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer currently at SMART Technologies since July 2010, focusing on developing hardware and firmware for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previous experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where electronics design and repair were key responsibilities, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Early professional experience involved circuit design and control systems development for Grindcom in the forestry sector. Chris earned a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
