Carolina Bugaian

Carolina Bugaian, Ph.D, FCCA, CIA, PMP has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Carolina has held various roles in different organizations. Carolina started their career as a Translator at the Ministry of Telecommunication in 1995. Carolina then worked as an Interpreter/Translator for the Ministry of Finance of Moldova, specifically on the US Treasury Project, from 1996 to 1998. Afterward, Carolina joined The Presidency of Moldova as an Assistant from 1998 to 2000. Carolina then transitioned to PricewaterhouseCoopers Moldova, where they worked as an Assistant Manager, Senior Auditor, and Auditor from 2000 to 2006.

In 2006, Carolina joined Moldcell as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and held this role until 2016. Carolina then took on the role of CFO at Ncell from 2014 to 2016. Currently, Carolina is the CEO of Moldcell, a position they assumed in January 2022. Throughout their career, Carolina has shown their expertise in financial management, auditing, and leadership, making their a valuable professional in their field.

Carolina Bugaian, Ph.D, FCCA, CIA, PMP has a diverse education history. Carolina obtained their Ph.D. in Economics from Academia de Studii Economice in 2004. Prior to that, they received their certification as a Certified Chartered Accountant from the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants in 2004. In 2008, Carolina became a Certified Internal Auditor after completing their studies at Intercollege, Professional Studies. Carolina also holds a Global MBA in Business Administration from Oxford Brookes University, which they completed from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Carolina has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2019. Carolina holds the FCCA designation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, which they obtained in 2005. Carolina has further expanded their knowledge by completing programs such as the FinTech course from HarvardX in 2020 and the ACCA Certificate in Business Analytics from Columbia Business School in 2022. Carolina is also a member of the International Coaching Federation, earning their ICF Member Badge in 2023, and has completed the Strategic Intuition Programme from Columbia Business School Executive Education in the same year.
