Jennifer Rhees

Jennifer Rhees has over 25 years of work experience, with their most recent role as a Lab Manager (Consultant) at Molecular Stethoscope starting in October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Invitae as a Lab Manager from December 2014 until September 2022. Before Invitae, Jennifer was a Research Manager at Baylor Research Institute from February 2003 to September 2014. Jennifer also served as a Research Associate II (Lab Manager) at the University of California San Diego from 1999 to 2003. Jennifer began their career as a Laboratory Technician at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center from 1997 to 1998.

Jennifer Rhees completed their degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications including Algorithms for DNA Sequencing, Algorithmic Thinking (Part 1), Command Line Tools for Genomic Data Science, Principles of Computing, and An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python from various institutions. Jennifer also completed courses in Bioinformatic Methods II and Bioinformatic Methods I, as well as Computational Molecular Evolution.
