Christy Thompson is a seasoned professional in the arts sector with extensive experience in exhibitions and collections management. Currently serving as Senior Deputy Director at The Museum of Modern Art since September 2021, Christy previously held multiple significant roles at the Art Gallery of Ontario from February 2013 to September 2021, including Chief of Exhibitions and Collections and Associate Director of Administration and Corporate Secretary. Prior to that, Christy worked at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, initially as Head of Exhibitions, Finance and Operations from 2003 to 2009, and later as Assistant Director and Acting Director from December 2009 to February 2013. Christy's academic background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Installation, earned from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and Western University, respectively, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Fine and Studio Arts from the University of Guelph.
