Kayla Duval

Kayla Duval has a strong background in scientific research and academia. Kayla is currently working as a Scientist I at MOMA Therapeutics since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Post Doc Fellow at Merck from July 2021 to May 2023. Before that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth from June 2020 to July 2021.

Kayla's academic journey includes being a PHD Candidate at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth from September 2015 to June 2020. Kayla also had a brief stint as a Visiting Researcher at the Laboratory for Molecular and Integrative Cellular Dynamics from June 2015 to August 2015.

During their time at Boston University, Kayla held multiple research positions. From May 2014 to May 2015, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Respiratory and Physiological Systems Identification Laboratory. In addition to that, they were a Tutor from January 2014 to May 2015, and a Research Assistant in the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology from September 2013 to May 2015. In this role, they contributed to research exploring neurosteroid effects on NMDA receptor trafficking, conducting quantification of dendritic spine density and puncta analysis using specialized imaging software.

Kayla Duval pursued their education with dedication and commitment. From 2011 to 2015, they attended Boston University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering. During their undergraduate studies, they demonstrated a passion for the field and a thirst for knowledge.

In 2013, Kayla Duval took the opportunity to broaden their horizons by studying at Technische Universität Dresden for a brief period. While specific details about their degree or field of study during this time are unknown, it is evident that they actively sought opportunities to expand their academic experience and engage with different academic environments.

Building upon their strong foundation, Kayla Duval then embarked on their pursuit of higher education at Dartmouth College from 2015 to 2020. At Dartmouth, they demonstrated their intellectual prowess and dedication by successfully completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering Sciences. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in their academic journey, showcasing their dedication to advancing knowledge in their field.
