Alex Potapovs

Alex Potapovs is a seasoned mechanical engineering professional with extensive experience in spacecraft development and mechanical design. Currently serving as Director of Mechanical Engineering at Momentus since September 2019, Alex has held various positions within the company, focusing on leading mechanical teams. Prior to Momentus, Alex worked at Neptec Design Group as Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Dexter Deplorable Vision System. Experience at MDA Satellite Systems included a range of responsibilities such as designing satellite payloads and electronics packaging, with advanced skills in CAD software and engineering analysis tools. Alex also played a significant role at Space Concordia, leading a team that won the 2012 Canadian Satellite Design Challenge. Alex holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University, earned in 2011.
