Sarah May has a diverse range of work experience in marketing, PR, and strategy roles. Sarah started their career as a Freelance Strategist at Urban Australia in 2012. Sarah then worked at Ogilvy PR Australia as a PR & Social Strategist, where they were responsible for driving revenue growth and working with clients such as Microsoft, Netflix, and Coca Cola. Sarah continued their career at One Green Bean as a Senior PR & Social Strategist, leading creative strategy and providing strategic counsel to C-suite executives and client relationship directors. Sarah then joined 303 MullenLowe as an Integrated Senior Strategist & Social Lead, where they developed creative strategies for tier one clients. Sarah also served as the Marketing & PR Lead at Xinja, where they led brand campaigns and increased brand awareness. Sarah worked at Airtasker as the International PR Lead and later as the Brand, Media, & PR Lead. At Immutable, they were the Marketing Lead, and at Multiplied, they worked as a Business Director. Most recently, Sarah joined RUN IT WILD as the CMO, overseeing blockchain, metaverse, and NFT development projects. Sarah is currently the Head of Growth at Mona, leading the 3D world building platform for the metaverse.

Sarah May attended Kesteven and Grantham Girls Grammar from 1994 to 2001, where they obtained 4 A-levels and 10 GCSEs. Following this, they pursued a BSc Honors in Management Sciences at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2001 to 2004. Sarah May also holds additional certifications, including GAICD from the Australian Institute of Company Directors which they obtained in January 2021, and they are a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), although the specific dates of obtaining this certification are unknown.
