Tibisay Sankatsing Nava

Tibisay Sankatsing Nava currently serves as a Senior Project Officer for Heritage at the Mondriaan Fund since June 2023. Prior experience includes implementing the Dutch Caribbean Research Platform for the NWO on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and coordinating research and community engagement at KITLV, where a focus was placed on co-development and community interaction in Caribbean heritage research. Additional roles encompass advisory positions with the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie and the Mondriaan Fund, board membership with the International Association of Caribbean Archaeology, and co-founding the Vota Aruba Stemwijzer project. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Arts and Culture and a specialization in Science Communication from Leiden University, alongside participation in decolonial studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Bio-Medical Sciences and Museum Studies.
