Edward Ybarra has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Edward started their career as a Regional Sales Manager for Deutsche Financial Services, where they managed asset-based loans and receivables financing for international manufacturers. Edward then joined Reisebank AG as the Country Manager for Cash Express GmbH, where they were tasked with reversing negative profitability and establishing a profitable retail network for money transfers throughout the Netherlands. In 2006, the Dutch entity was sold to Travelex Bank.

Following this, Ybarra worked as a Sales Manager at GWK Travelex, overseeing foreign currency exchange, cash services, money transfers, and consumer invoice payments. Edward then moved on to Project Eigen Werk, where they worked in business development.

In 2009, Ybarra joined MoneyGram International as a Sales Manager for the Benelux region. Edward later became an Independent Financial Adviser at EuroKay Consultants. Ybarra then joined ORFinance MT BVBA and ORfinance MT NL as the Country Manager for Belgium and the Netherlands. In this role, they led a team and managed an agent network of money transfer retail outlets.

Ybarra returned to Moneytrans in 2013 as a Senior Business Developer, where they prospectedd retail shops in the Netherlands to grow a financial services agent network. Edward achieved a portfolio of around eighty new clients. Edward then moved on to Ria Financial as a Country Manager, where they implemented organizational changes and coordinated operations for retail shops and reseller agents in Belgium.

Most recently, Ybarra has been working at Moneytrans as an Agent Network Developer.

Edward Ybarra attended Ventura College from 1974 to 1975, but it is unknown if they obtained a degree or studied any specific field. From 1975 to 1979, they studied at UC San Diego, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History and Political Science. Later, from 1995 to 1997, Edward attended Webster University, focusing on Marketing in the Leiden field of study, although it is unclear if they completed a degree at this institution.
