Dave McCarter

Dave McCarter has a wide range of work experience in design and development roles. Dave is currently working at MongoDB as the Director of Product Design, Design Systems since February 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at MongoDB, including Product Design Lead, Senior Product Designer, and Product Designer in the Design Systems department.

Before joining MongoDB, Dave worked at mLab as a Designer from January 2017 to October 2018. During their time at mLab, they produced designs and developed user interfaces for multiple projects and products.

Dave also has experience at TABLE.co as the Lead Designer from November 2015 to June 2016. Here, they were responsible for the direction of the brand and product design, as well as growing the design team.

Previously, Dave worked at Poll Everywhere as a Visual Designer from August 2014 to October 2015. Dave was involved in user experience and user interface design, as well as feature development.

Dave has also worked on various short-term design contracts, including roles at Recharge Labs as a Front-end Developer and UX Designer, Nyentek as a Web Designer, UserBallot as a Co-Founder, and as a Design Contractor at Smart Alarm, TerrAvion, Inc., and Unity 4 Orphans.

Dave McCarter attended the Academy of Art University from 2012 to 2013, where they pursued a field of study in Illustration. However, they did not complete a degree during this time.
