Director Of Technical Documentation at MongoDB

Jonathan DeStefano has a diverse work experience spanning different roles in various industries. Jonathan started their career as a Geek Squad PC Technician at Best Buy, where they excelled in computer repairs and building customer relationships. Jonathan then worked as a Digital Hardware Engineer at Data Device Corporation, where they designed and tested new devices and collaborated with marketing engineers.

Jonathan then became an Associate Consultant at Gemini Systems, where they delivered proof of concept modules for financial analytics projects and developed software test plans. Jonathan later joined NYSE Euronext as an IT Consultant, where they gathered requirements, designed enhancements, and coordinated projects on a global scale.

At the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Jonathan served as a Business Analyst and Developer. Jonathan provided agile and JIRA best practice guidance, coordinated projects, and developed user interfaces for market regulation applications.

Jonathan's most recent role is with MongoDB, where they have held several positions. As a Technical Writer, they contributed to documentation improvements and facilitated user experience studies. Jonathan then became a Lead Technical Writer for MongoDB's Enterprise Tools, where they managed a team, led documentation efforts, and provided product feedback. Jonathan's previous role was as a Senior Lead in Content Engineering, and they are currently the Director of Technical Documentation. In this role, they lead content operations, defines strategic vision, and evaluates KPIs for documentation that reaches a large global audience.

Jonathan DeStefano obtained their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. In addition to their degree, they also received certification in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera Verified Certificates in August 2014.
