Prachi Shirodkar

Prachi Shirodkar has a comprehensive work experience spanning over several years. Prachi began their career at Symantec Corp in 2006 as a Principal Oracle DBA, where they worked until 2008. Prachi then joined Hewlett-Packard in 2008, initially as a Principal IT Infrastructure Specialist and later as a Database Team Lead, until 2014.

After their tenure at Hewlett-Packard, Prachi joined Symantec as a Sr. Principal Database Administrator in 2014, responsible for overseeing maintenance and planning of eCommerce databases using advanced features of Streams and GoldenGate. Prachi also played a crucial role in the first deployment of MongoDB for AEM hosting.

In 2015, Prachi joined Kohl's Department Stores as a Sr. Database Administrator, where they led the adoption of MongoDB for on-premise and Google Cloud deployments. Prachi'srole included tasks such as design, capacity planning, data modeling assistance, security setup, backups, and recovery. Prachi also contributed to RDBMS performance and tuning for a critical multi-terabyte database.

Currently, Prachi is working at MongoDB. Prachi joined in 2019 as a Team Lead for Cloud Technical Services, responsible for guiding the team in solving technical problems, managing workflow, handling customer issues, and managing escalations. Prachi'srole also involves ensuring team growth, hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations. Prachi was promoted to Manager in 2021 and then to Sr. Manager in 2022 for the same department.

Prachi Shirodkar obtained a Certificate in Project and Program Management from the University of California at Santa Cruz in the year 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Pune University. Prachi Shirodkar also holds several additional certifications, including Kafka Essential Training from LinkedIn obtained in April 2019, M202: MongoDB Advanced Deployment and Operations from MongoDB, Inc. obtained in September 2016, and M102: MongoDB for DBAs from MongoDB obtained in September 2014.
