Ryan Chipman

Ryan Chipman has a diverse work experience starting from 2012. Ryan began as an Android Engineer at Actifio in 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Web Developer at MacroSys, LLC and also simultaneously acted as an Undergraduate Researcher (UROP) at MIT Media Lab. In 2014, Ryan had an internship as a Knowledge Engineering Intern at Bloomberg LP, where they focused on evaluating, testing, improving, and developing machine learning models. In 2015, they interned as a Software Engineering Intern in Drivers at MongoDB, Inc. Ryan joined MongoDB in 2016 as a Software Engineer and later progressed to the role of Lead Engineer in 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Director, Engineering at MongoDB, which they assumed in September 2021.

Ryan Chipman attended The Roxbury Latin School from 2006 to 2012, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they pursued further education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2016. At MIT, Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, specializing in Computer Software Engineering.
