Chris Scifert has a diverse work experience in the biomedical engineering field. Chris started their career at Smith & Nephew as an Engineer II, where they designed tests for joint applications and provided data analysis. Chris then moved on to become a Senior Engineer at the same company. Chris then joined Smith and Nephew as a Project Manager before transitioning to Medtronic Spine & Biologics as a Product Development Manager. Chris eventually became the Senior Product Development Manager at Medtronic. Chris then worked at Orchid Orthopedic Solutions as the Director of Engineering for over 7 years. Chris also has experience working independently as a Biomedical Engineer and as the Director of Implant Design at Monogram Orthopaedics. Chris has significant project and people management experience and has successfully managed projects on budget.
Chris Scifert earned a High School Diploma from Grissom High School in 1991. Following that, they attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1991 to 1995 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa, graduating in the year 1999.
