Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer at Monolith

Steve Bell's work experience begins in 2004 when they joined the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Squad Leader and Embedded Advisor. Steve served two deployments in Iraq and was responsible for teaching, coaching, advising, and mentoring an Iraqi brigade. After leaving the Marine Corps in 2009, Steve worked as a Math Tutor at Weber State University in 2011, where they tutored Calculus III and below and supervised testing in the Developmental Math department's testing center. In 2013, they interned as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at BioFire Diagnostics, Inc. From 2014 to 2021, Steve worked at ExxonMobil, first as a Machinery Engineer for the hydroprocessing units at the Baton Rouge Refinery, and later as an Execution Planning and Quality Engineer, where they supported planning for upstream development projects. In 2021, they joined Monolith as a Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer, where they are involved in designing and building a large-scale green hydrogen and carbon black facility, providing expertise in equipment engineering, project specifications, and troubleshooting support.

Steve Bell completed their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Steve first attended Weber State University from 2009 to 2012 and obtained an Associate's degree in Pre-Engineering. Later, they attended the University of Utah from 2012 to 2014 to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
