Eric Chu

Eric Chu is an experienced Application Engineer at Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. since May 2022, with previous roles as a Senior Design Engineer at VPT, Inc. and a Graduate Research Assistant at the FUTURE ENERGY ELECTRONICS CENTER. At VPT, Inc., Eric designed DC-DC power converters for high-reliability markets, collaborated with design engineers, and developed tests to meet military specifications. As a Graduate Research Assistant, Eric focused on a GaN-based LLC converter for electric vehicle chargers, achieving 98% efficiency. Additional experience includes troubleshooting and redesigning a wireless power transfer converter at Moog Space and Defense Group. Eric holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Virginia Tech.
