Tori Lawhorn

Tori Lawhorn has extensive experience in communications and marketing. Tori is currently the Communications and Marketing Director at the Monroe County Public Library in Indiana. Prior to this role, Tori served as the Communications and Marketing Manager at the same organization. Before their work at the library, they worked as a Senior Copywriter at TrendyMinds, where they led copywriting for enterprise technology clients. Tori also has experience at Raymond James, where they were an Associate Communications Manager, responsible for content creation and social media strategy. Tori began their career at Cook Medical, where they held various roles, including Written Content Specialist and Brand Marketing Intern. Additionally, Tori worked as a Marketing and Publicity Intern at Indiana University Press, where they focused on blog posts, press releases, and advertisements. Tori also served as a Communications Intern and Director of Communications for the Scholarship Advisory Committee at Indiana University. Tori's early experience includes working as a Service and Social Media Intern at the Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion and as a Consumer Public Relations Intern at Bell Pottinger.

Tori Lawhorn holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism (Public Relations and Advertising) and Communication & Culture (Rhetoric) from Indiana University Bloomington. Tori also completed a minor in Psychology at the same university. Later, they attended Ivy Tech Community College and obtained a Certificate in Regulatory Affairs. Tori Lawhorn then pursued a Master's degree in Library and Information Science (Public Librarianship/Adult Services Specialization) at Indiana University Indianapolis from 2023 to 2026.
