Matthew Hipkins

Matthew Hipkins has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Strategic and Long Term Optimization Lead at Monroe Energy, LLC since September 2012. In this role, Matthew evaluates economic justifications for capital and expense projects and recommends systems software enhancements. Previously, Matthew developed optimization system models and automated data flows as the Optimization Systems Lead. Earlier positions at Monroe Energy included implementations of short-term operating plans and setting daily targets while serving as Optimization Lead and Short Term Optimization Specialist. Prior to joining Monroe Energy, Matthew worked at Western Refining as a Blending and Scheduling Specialist and served as an Economics and Planning Analyst at ConocoPhillips. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University, completed in 2005.
