Greg Gero

Greg Gero, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the education field. Greg started their career as a Teacher at LAUSD in 1996 and worked in that role until 2007. During their time at LAUSD, they also served as an Intervention Coordinator and an RLA/ELD Curriculum Trainer/Facilitator. In 2007, they became an Instructional Coach at LAUSD, a position they held until 2014.

In 2014, Greg joined the East Whittier City School District as a Principal and worked there until 2017. Greg then transitioned to the Monrovia Unified School District, where they initially served as a School Principal before being promoted to Director of Dual Immersion Programs. Currently, Greg is the Director of Elementary Education at Monrovia Unified School District.

In addition to their work in the school districts, Greg also held the position of Adjunct Professor at Claremont Graduate University from 2016 to 2017. And as a graduate student, they were associated with Claremont Graduate University from 2006 to 2013.

Greg Gero, Ph.D. completed their education in a chronological manner. Greg started by earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Claremont McKenna College, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. During their undergraduate years, in 1993, they also briefly attended UNSW (University of New South Wales) for a Political Science exchange program.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Greg pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Educational Administration at National University. Greg attended National University from 2003 to 2005.

Subsequently, Greg furthered their academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. in Education at Claremont Graduate University. Greg attended from 2006 to 2013 and successfully earned their doctoral degree.

Additionally, Greg obtained a certification as a National Board Certified Teacher (Renewed/MOC) in November 2001. This certification was granted by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
