Michael L. Gustafson

Michael L. Gustafson currently serves as the Montana Small Business Ombudsman and Radon Coordinator at the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, where the focus is on assisting small businesses with environmental regulations and promoting pollution prevention. Prior to this role, Michael worked as the Water Department Foreman at Belgrade Public Works, and as a Water Treatment Operator at Waterloo Water Works, holding certifications in public water systems. Michael's extensive experience includes a notable 21-year career in the US Navy, where responsibilities included recruiting and career counseling, with recognition as Navy Reserve Programs Recruiter of the Year in 2005 and 2008. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science with a minor in Earth Science from the University of Northern Iowa.
