Marko Nousiainen

Marko Nousiainen is a highly skilled technical manager currently employed at Montes del Plata since October 2023, specializing in pulp mill operations. Previously, Marko served as operations manager and production engineer at Stora Enso from August 2019 to October 2023. Prior to that, Marko gained extensive experience at Metsä Fibre in various roles, including development engineer, recovery line availability engineer, and process operator across multiple pulp mill departments. Marko’s educational background consists of multiple master’s degrees in industrial engineering, energy technology, and wood science from LUT University and Chalmers University of Technology, along with a bachelor’s degree in energy technology from LUT University. Marko also has military experience as a peacekeeper with the Finnish Defence Forces.
