Sony Sebastian

Sony Sebastian has over 19 years of work experience in the shipping and logistics industry. Sony most recently served as the Head of Shipping Operations at MONTFORT since April 2022. Prior to that, Sony worked at Shell for 8 years, starting in 2014, where they managed Shell's Fleet of Vessels and represented Dubai in the global arena. Sony also handled LNG Carrier vessel operations and had working knowledge with various software tools. Before joining Shell, Sony worked at Emirates Ship Investment Company LLC (Eships) as an Assistant Operations - Tankers, managing post-fixture operations and ensuring compliance with charter party terms. Sony also worked as an Assistant Operations Manager at BRS Brokers, where they negotiated charter party contracts and managed vessel operations. Prior to that, Sony worked at HOYER GLOBAL TRANSPORT as an Operations Supervisor, handling operations and inventory of tanks, negotiating sea freights, managing the fleet of trailers, and supervising shipment documents. Sony began their career at AGL Logistics LLC as a Freight Coordinator, liaising with freight forwarders, preparing documentation, and monitoring inventory levels.

Sony Sebastian earned a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in Computers from Bharathiar University in 2003. Sony then went on to pursue an MBA in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Salem University, graduating in 2009.
