Angela Beemer, EdD has a comprehensive work experience spanning several decades. Angela began their career in 1985 as the Director of the Minority Leaders Fellowship Program at The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, where they designed and facilitated a leadership development program for college student leaders. Angela also coordinated internship placements and leadership seminars for students.
In 1991, they joined Montgomery College as the Director of the Cooperative Education & Internship Program. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic administration of the college-wide program, providing work experiences and career exploration opportunities for college students across various majors. Their responsibilities included staff supervision, curriculum design and implementation, community development for business partnerships, and instruction of Cooperative Education and Internship courses.
In 1993, Angela Beemer took on a part-time role at Montgomery College Television as a Host and Interviewer. Angela co-produced a thirty minute interview format program, hosted live television events, conducted on-air interviews, and assisted with editing. Angela was also a long-time host and interviewer of Chautauqua, a living history program sponsored by the Maryland Humanities Council in partnership with Montgomery College.

Angela Beemer, EdD, holds a Doctorate in Higher Education/Community College Leadership from Morgan State University, which they completed in 2013. Prior to that, they received a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in Special Education and Teaching from Trinity College Washington, DC in 1985. Their education journey began with a Bachelor of Education degree from Vermont College of Norwich University in 1982, majoring in Education.
