Bhavna Sivasubramanian

Housing Research Planner II at Montgomery County Planning Department

Bhavna Sivasubramanian is a skilled housing research planner with extensive experience in food systems, spatial analysis, and research. Currently serving as a Housing Research Planner II at Montgomery County Planning Department since May 2023, Bhavna previously held roles at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) as a Food Systems Consultant, where support was provided for the Food Systems Governance Program. Prior experience includes positions as a Spatial Analysis Intern and Research Assistant III at the Tata-Cornell Institute for Agriculture and Nutrition, a Research Associate at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), and a Research Analyst I at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), among others. Bhavna holds a Master's degree in Regional Planning from Cornell University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics from Tufts University.
