Jean Tessier

Jean Tessier has extensive experience in software engineering and DevOps, currently serving as the Head of DevOps and Montreal Chapter Lead at Montreal Exchange since January 2009. Responsibilities include overseeing 24/7 production operations, directing the DevOps transition for a team of 25 resources, and introducing methodologies such as GitOps and Kanban. Jean has played a pivotal role in implementing DevSecOps practices, managing various SDLC processes, and ensuring governance over change and release protocols. Additionally, Jean has designed and supervised the Atlassian tool stack used by approximately 2000 users, overseen pipeline architecture, and introduced cloud technologies and containerization. Previous roles include Principal Programmer Analyst and Programmer Analyst, with early experience as an intern at both the Montreal Exchange and Savoir-faire Linux. Jean holds a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
