Alessandro Ponti

Alessandro Ponti began their career in 2007 as the Head of Human Resources for COOPI - Cooperazione Internazionale, a non-governmental organization with a budget of 36 million Euro. In this role, they were responsible for launching the Human Resources department, managing 66 staff in Italy and 144 expatriate staff. In 2008, they became the Head of Project for the organization's remote child sponsorship programs in Peru, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Central African Republic, Ethiopia and Senegal. Alessandro then conducted on-the-ground missions in Uganda, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia and Central African Republic.

In 2012, they were appointed as the Head of Project for ECHO HEALTHCARE and Eastern Region (Goz Beida-Koukou) Base Chief for COOPI in Chad. This ECHO project had a budget of a million euro and provided technical assistance and supplies for the Chadian public healthcare system in its eastern region.

In 2013, they were appointed as the Head of Mission for COOPI in the Congo, with a budget of 9 million Euro, 20 projects, 210 congolese and 20 expatriates. In this role, they were responsible for selecting expatriate staff, general management, relations with funding suppliers, strategic planning, coordinating the management of individual projects and operational budgeting for the mission.

In 2016, they were appointed as the Head of Mission for COOPI in Mauritania. Alessandro was responsible for opening the COOPI mission in Mauritania and following up on administrative, legal, logistic and security procedures for the establishment of the Organization's headquarters in the country.

In 2019, Alessandro Ponti joined Codeactivos España S.A. as a Project Manager. Later that year, they also joined Monty Global Payments S.A.U. as the Financial Operations Manager. In this role, they were responsible for gaining customers' trust in 8 countries, with 1,200 points of sale distributed amongst the countries they operated in, and providing service to Europe's eight largest outbound countries.

Alessandro Ponti obtained a Bachelor in Clinical and Community Psychology from Turin University in Italy between 1990 and 1996, specializing in Psychology.
