Dr. Ashley M. Decruise

Dr. Ashley M. DeCruise serves as the School Principal at Monument Academy Public Charter School since July 2019, leading the institution to achieve top quartile performance in 14 out of 15 domains among DC Charter schools, and attaining a 95th percentile rank for the Instructional Culture Index. Prior experience includes roles as the Director of Academics, Special Education Instructional Coach, and Third Grade Special Education Teacher at Prince George's County Public Schools from August 2013 to June 2019, focusing on improving achievement for students with disabilities. Dr. DeCruise has also been a Site Leader at Headfirst Summer Camps, a Graduate Assistant for Track and Field at Seton Hill University, and facilitated student learning through programs at Envision EMI. Education credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Nova Southeastern University, a Master's degree in Special Education from Seton Hill University, and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Mount St. Mary's University.
