Markee Young

Markee Young currently serves as an SLA at Monument Academy Public Charter School since 2022. Previous experience includes the role of Program Manager at Cure the Streets from October 2018 to March 2020, where responsibilities involved overseeing a violence interruption group aimed at preventing gun violence. Markee also worked as a Violence Interrupter at Onse Agency from January 2018 to February 2020, providing mediation, mentorship, and case management for at-risk youth and adults. In addition, Markee held a position as a Violence Interrupter with the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement from March 2017 to October 2019, focusing on community engagement and conflict mediation. Early in the career, Markee served as a Roving Leader at King Greenleaf Recreation Center from May 2012 to January 2013.
