Albert Cabré Juan

Albert Cabré Juan has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Albert has served as a Senior Software Engineer / Open Banking Lead at Monzo Bank since 2018. Prior to that, they worked at MOO as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the tech lead for the Money team and played a key role in rewriting the cart system and supporting the checkout process. Albert also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at MOO for the Print Operations team, contributing to a major rewrite initiative.

Before joining MOO, Albert was a Software Engineer at Marks and Spencer, where they were part of the Digital Innovation department. Albert played a pivotal role in improving in-store processes through the development of digital solutions. In this role, they successfully implemented ideas that resulted in significant cost savings for the company.

Albert also worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Sky, where they were a member of the Tech Futures team and was involved in researching and developing proof of concepts for various technologies. Additionally, they have worked as a Software Engineer at BCN Quark Bidimensional Codes, Farmavet, and SIMPPLE, where they gained experience in web development using languages such as Ruby on Rails and PHP.

Furthermore, Albert has served as an Organization Support at Mobile World Capital Barcelona, assisting the company during the Mobile World Congress. Albert also completed an iOS & Android Developer Internship at Chimu Solutions, where they gained experience in porting web applications to mobile platforms. Throughout their career, Albert has proven himself to be adaptable, capable, and willing to take on challenging projects.

Albert Cabré Juan completed their education with a Bachelor's thesis in Computer Science from University College London, U. of London in 2013. Prior to that, they studied Computer Software Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya from 2011 to 2013. Before that, they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering from Universitat Rovira i Virgili from 2009 to 2011.
