Diego Peteiro

Diego Peteiro has a strong background in data science and research. Diego currently holds the position of Head of Machine Learning, Customer Operations at Monzo Bank. Prior to this, they worked for Just Eat Takeaway.com as a Principal Data Scientist, where they contributed to building a best-in-class data infrastructure. Diego also served as the Director of Research at Gixante and Senior Data Scientist at Altius: Understand | Model | Predict. In addition, they gained experience as a Research Engineer at VisualDNA. Diego's academic background includes roles as a Research Associate and Research Assistant at the University of A Coruña, a Research Visitor at Imperial College London, and a Research Visitor at the University of Florida.

Diego Peteiro earned their Ph.D. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the Universidade da Coruña. Diego pursued this degree from 2010 to 2015, specializing in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Prior to this, they completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, also with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, from the same university from 2008 to 2010. Earlier in their education, Diego obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Science from the Universidade da Coruña, which they pursued from 2003 to 2008. Diego has also acquired additional certifications, including a Microsoft Specialist certification in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft in December 2012, and a Postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) from the University of A Coruña in April 2009.
