Shivanesh Lal

Shivanesh Lal has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Shivanesh began their career as a Network Engineer at ZTE in 2014. Shivanesh then served as an Electronics Examiner at Fiji National University from October 2012 to October 2014. Following this, they worked as a Software Programmer at Datec Fiji Limited from August 2014 to August 2015. Shivanesh'snext role was at Fiji National University, where they held various positions including System Administrator, PHP developer, and Technical Configuration Lead for UIMS Projects from September 2015 to April 2021. Shivanesh then became the Manager of IT - Learning & Teaching Technologies in April 2021 and continued in that role till June 2022. In June 2022, they joined The University of the South Pacific as a Senior Analyst Programmer. Shivanesh Lal's most recent position is as a DevOps Engineer at Moodle, starting in March 2023.

Shivanesh Lal completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems from Fiji National University from 2011 to 2014. Shivanesh then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology at The University of the South Pacific from 2016 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Shivanesh has obtained several certifications including "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate" from Oracle in March 2022, "Cloud Native Security Conference - App Security" from IBM in December 2021, and "Data Analysis Using Python" from IBM in December 2020. Shivanesh has also received certifications such as "Docker Essentials: A Developer Introduction" from IBM and Cognitive Class in June 2020, "Machine Learning with R - Level 1" from IBM in June 2020, and "PHP web application on a LAMP Stack" from Cognitive Class in June 2020. Shivanesh has demonstrated their commitment to continuous learning by completing various certifications in the field of data analysis, programming, and web development.
