Site Reliability Engineer at Moogsoft

Kollin Prince has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Field Missionary for LDS Mission. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Route Manager/Lawn Technician for TruGreen Lawn Care. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Sales & Technical Rep II and Network Support Technician for Convergys. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Senior Tech Support II for EMC. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Site Reliability Engineer for Virtustream. Since 2019, they have been a Site Reliability Engineer for Moogsoft. In this role, they have maintained and monitored global AWS cloud infrastructure using Cloudwatch, Grafana, Sensu and Elasticsearch, coded control with gitlab working in Bash and Python, implemented configuration changes and upgrades via Ansible and Terraform, participated in on-call rotations, managed incidents, and implemented cloud best practices. Kollin has also updated product logging to use log4j to enhance searching for ES.

Kollin Prince began their education in 2009, earning a Diploma and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Stevens-Henager College in 2012. In 2013, they returned to Stevens-Henager College to earn a Diploma and a Masters in Information Systems in 2014. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kollin Prince holds three certifications: Cloud Architect, Cloud Infrastructure Specialist Version 2.0 (EMCCA) from Dell EMC (obtained in September 2016), Specialist - Cloud Architect, Cloud Infrastructure Version 2.0 from Dell EMC (obtained in September 2016), and Information Storage Associate from EMC Proven Professional (obtained in May 2012).
