Michael Peng has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Creative Officer at Moon Creative Lab since June 2020. Prior to that, they worked at IDEO.org as a Board Member, starting in March 2020. Michael has a long history with IDEO, where they held multiple roles, including Partner from October 2017 to June 2020, Co-Founder and Managing Director - Tokyo from February 2011 to June 2020, Human Factors Lead - New York from February 2008 to February 2011, and Human Factors - San Francisco from October 2006 to February 2008. In 2016, Michael co-founded D4V (Design for Ventures), a venture capital firm in partnership with IDEO, and remained in this role until June 2020. Additionally, they have prior experience at Johnson & Johnson, where they worked as a Sr. IT Analyst from November 2003 to September 2006, IT Analyst from March 2004 to November 2004, and IT Associate Analyst from June 2003 to March 2004.
Michael Peng attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Cognitive Science. In 2002, they briefly enrolled at Waseda University to study Japanese, although they did not complete a degree at that institution.
