Laurie Matthews

Director, Preservation Planning & Design at MIG

Laurie Matthews is the Director of Preservation Planning and Design at MIG Inc. since September 2007, with extensive experience in cultural landscape projects, including significant plans and reports for national parks and historic sites across the United States. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oregon, Laurie teaches courses in cultural landscapes and advises on research projects within the landscape architecture program. Prior professional roles include Historical Landscape Architect positions at the Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation and Heritage Landscapes, where Laurie contributed to numerous cultural landscape inventories and reports for iconic sites. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Lewis & Clark College.
