Matt Shawaker

Matt Shawaker is an accomplished urban design professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Urban Design at MIG since September 2022, Matt previously held the same title at Livable Cities Studio from September 2020 to November 2022. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Associate at Stantec, Associate Principal at RNL, Senior Associate at ValleyCrest Companies, Planning Manager at Lend Lease Communities, and Associate at Design Workshop. Matt holds a Master's degree in Housing and Urbanism from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (2002-2003) and a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Arizona (1991-1996).
