Mark B. Cook

Mark B. Cook has extensive work experience in human resources, with a focus on director-level roles. Mark B. currently holds the position of Human Resources Director at the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency since September 2021. Prior to that, they were the Director of Human Resources at UHS from February 2015 to October 2021.

Mark also worked as the Human Resources Director at Community Health Systems from June 2013 to December 2014, where they provided HR services for 1,200 employees and 12 physician clinics. Mark B. successfully participated in a Joint Commission Survey with no HR findings and re-established HR as a functional department within the organization.

Before joining Community Health Systems, Mark held the position of Human Resources Director at Health Management Associates, Inc. from February 1988 to June 2013. Mark B. started their career at Rankin Medical Center, where they served as the Director of Respiratory Care from February 1983 to August 1988.

Mark B. Cook holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, which they obtained from Western Governors University between 2014 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist from Hinds Community College from 1978 to 1980. In addition, they also obtained the Comp TIA Project Plus Certification from CompTIA in October 2015.
