Shelly Watts Larson has extensive experience in the education field. Shelly started their career in 2007 as an HR Specialist at Falcon School District 49. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Attendance Specialist/Registrar at Gilbert Public Schools. In 2013, they joined Riverside Unified School District as a Teacher, specializing in Kindergarten. Shelly continued in this role until 2021. During their time at Riverside, they also served as an Adjunct Professor at California Baptist University, starting in 2022. Currently, they are working as an Assistant Principal at Moreno Valley Unified School District since October 2021, and they were promoted to the role of School Principal in May 2023.
Shelly Watts Larson has a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-Portland, which they obtained from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended California Baptist University from 2013 to 2014, where they pursued a Teacher Credential. Shelly completed their undergraduate education at Point Loma Nazarene University from 1993 to 1996, earning a degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Elementary Education and Teaching.
