Tery R Young has a long and diverse work experience in the design and merchandising industry. Starting in 1991, Young worked as a Visual Merchandising & Store Design Manager for The North Face, where they were responsible for store design, shop design, and visual merchandising. They then moved on to become the Director of Retail Environment Design at Levi Strauss & Co., leading retail marketing programs for multiple brands. Young later served as the Vice President of Design at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., overseeing the design development for Sheraton and Four Points. They also worked as the Vice President Creative Operations at Higgins Purchasing Group, where they were involved in e-commerce programs for luxury and boutique hotels. In 2002, Young established their own company, Tery R Young Design & Merchandising, focusing on developing retail environments and in-store programs for premium retailers and luxury hotels. They later took on the role of Senior Director Global Store Design: Old Navy at Gap Inc., managing the development and implementation of the Old Navy experience globally. In 2018, Young joined Morgan Li as the Chief Creative Officer. Throughout their career, Young has shown strong leadership skills and expertise in various aspects of design and retail presentation.
Tery R Young earned an Associate's degree in Interior Design from Ivy Tech Community College, spanning from 1983 to 1985.
