Michael Schecter

As General Counsel at Morgan Properties, Michael Schecter oversees legal compliance and transaction structuring and assists in acquisitions, negotiating joint venture partnership agreements, and due diligence.

Prior to joining Morgan Properties, Michael was the co-founder of Diamond Rock Hospitality Company (NYSE: DRH) where he helped conduct an initial $210 million private placement, followed by an IPO. Before Diamond Rock, Michael worked at Marriott International and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bates College and a law degree from Cornell Law School.
